(1) If only one candidate is retained during the publication of the final list of candidates in accordance with Section 26 of the Act for an election held in accordance with the first-come, first-served election system, the Election Officer shall declare such candidate elected unopposed in accordance with Section 27 of the Act and immediately inform the Commission thereof. .
(2) According to sub-rule (1), the election officer will give the certificate of election to the candidate who has been elected unopposed after the end of the time specified for voting.
